Section 30
Obligations of the Government of Nepal in relation to insured postal items
: Subject to the specified conditions and restrictions, in case of loss or damage to the insured postal item or any item within it during the postal process, compensation shall be paid to the sender up to the amount of the insured item, not exceeding the amount of the insured item. The responsibility will be on the Government of Nepal. But under no circumstances should compensation exceed the actual value of the lost or damaged item.
