(1) In the internal postal service and in the foreign postal service, tradable items with a value according to the agreement between the two countries and currency notes or coins up to five thousand rupees can be sent by insured post and can be insured and delivered insured. The post office where the insurance certificate can be delivered will be as specified by the Director General. But currency notes or coins cannot be sent to countries other than Nepal and India (2) Subject to sub-section (1), it shall be compulsory to insure any merchandise or currency notes or coins sent by post.
