The functions, duties and powers of the Board shall be as follows:-
(a) Formulate a policy related to the import and export of milk and dairy products and animal feed and materials necessary for the production and promotion of milk and dairy products and animal feed and recommend to the Government of Nepal and implement the passed policy.
(b) Formulate a policy to determine the price of milk and recommend it to the Government of Nepal (c) To give necessary suggestions to the Government of Nepal for the benefit of producers and consumers regarding dairy business.
(D) To encourage and make the development of dairy business through cooperatives.
(e) Registration of dairy industries.
(f) Arranging and mobilizing necessary domestic and foreign assistance, grants and loans for the dairy industry.
(G) To provide technical support for the establishment, improvement, promotion and protection of the dairy industry.
(h) Monitoring, evaluation and review of programs related to dairy business.
(i) To do other necessary work related to the dairy industry.
