If the relevant customs office demands an amount equal to the bank guarantee issued in favor of the customs office, the bank or financial institution issuing such bank guarantee shall pay the amount in the name of the relevant customs office within fifteen days.
(2) A bank guarantee issued by a bank or financial institution that does not pay as per sub-rule (1) shall not be accepted by the customs office until such payment is received.
(3) The bank and financial institution issuing the bank guarantee shall not be deemed to have been exempted from the obligation to pay the amount of such bank guarantee to the relevant customs office until written information is received from the relevant customs office that the bank guarantee issued in favor of the customs office has been released.
