Section 161
No discriminatory purchase, sale or distribution of goods or services
(1) When buying or selling goods or services, one should not buy or sell from a particular caste, caste or community or only to such persons, or not to provide or sell to any particular caste, caste or community. But For the protection or development of the interests of economically, socially or educationally backward classes, it shall not be considered as an offense according to this section to make a specific item or service available to a specific caste, caste or sect person only or to sell it with the approval of an authorized official according to law.
(2) A person who commits or causes an offense under sub-section (1) shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to one year or with a fine which may extend to ten thousand rupees.
