(1) After the election officer has started the counting of votes, he shall continue to count the votes till the end of the counting.
(2) If the counting of votes is stopped due to unforeseen circumstances, the election officer shall seal the counted ballots, the counting records, the remaining ballots and the remaining ballot boxes in separate envelopes, bags or sacks and seal them. The candidate or his election representative or counting representative can also put his stamp on such envelope, bag or sack.
(3) The work of vote counting that has been stopped according to sub-section (2) should be restarted as soon as possible. In this way, the notice of re-starting of counting of votes should be given to the candidate present at that place, his election representative or counting representative and should also be published at the place of counting of votes. However, the fact that a candidate or his/her representative did not come to attend will not be deemed to have hindered the work of counting votes.
