(1) If the name of a person qualified to be a voter as per Section 5 of the Act is not included in the voter list published in accordance with Rule 9 or Rule 16, such person shall submit his name to the Assistant Registration Officer as mentioned in the program to include his name in the voter list. He can present himself and submit an application in the format as per schedule-5.
(2) If an application is received in accordance with sub-rule (1), the Assistant Name Registration Officer will investigate the same and if such person is found to be eligible to be a voter in accordance with Section 5 of the Act, his name will be registered in the voter registration book through the Assistant Registration Officer and his name will be registered through the Registration Officer. Finger print and photograph as determined by the Commission shall be taken and the name and details, fingerprint and photograph of such person shall be entered in the computer.
(3) After entering the names, details, fingerprints and photographs as per sub-rule (2), the Assistant Name Registration Officer shall prepare a revised electoral roll based on such names and details in the format as per Schedule-9.
