(1) The Election Officer shall verify the ballots provided by the Commission. When the ballot papers are distributed, whether the ballot papers are printed in the format prescribed by the Commission, or not, and in each ballot paper, the names of all the candidates of the respective groups as per Section 3 of the Ordinance and the election symbols and serial numbers are clearly mentioned on the bottom of the ballot paper. (2) According to sub-rule (1). If any ballot paper is not in the format specified by the commission, if any candidate's name is omitted, duplicated, the serial number is not mentioned on the bottom of the ballot paper, or there is any other technical error, the election officer shall separate such ballot paper and keep it. The Election Officer shall immediately provide the information regarding the details of the ballot papers so separated to the Commission.
