(1) After confirming that the counting of votes has started in accordance with Rule 38, the election officer shall check the ballot box containing the ballot paper in the seat of the candidate, election representative or counting representative as follows:-(a) The ballot box of each polling station has been opened or tampered with, (b) In the ballot box, the name of the polling station, the code number and the number of the ballot box are mentioned, No, (c) The security seal affixed at the place where the ballot box is closed is correct, No. (2) The election officer shall keep a bond of checking the ballot box according to sub-rule (1). 3) According to sub-rule (1), if any defect is found during the inspection of the ballot box, the same should be prepared and the voucher should be duly printed and kept by the candidate, election representative or counting representative. After the bond is prepared, such ballot boxes should be kept in a safe place.
