3. Formation of Manakamana Area Development Committee (1) A committee named Manakamana Area Development Committee will be formed to protect and promote the social, religious, economic and cultural aspects of Manakamana area.
(2) The committee under sub-section (1) shall have the following members:-

(a) Person appointed by the Government of Nepal – Chairman
(b) Members representing Gorkha District in Parliament – ​​Member
(c) Chairman, Gorkha District Development Committee – Member (d) Five persons nominated by the Government of Nepal from among the people who have been making special contributions in Mankamana area and are interested in the development of that area - members
(e) Chief District Officer, District Administration Office, Gorkha – Member
(f) Chairpersons of Village Development Committees related to Mankamana area – Members
(g) Member of concerned area, District Development Committee, Gorkha – Member
(h) Representative, Ministry of Youth Sports and Culture – Member
(i) Head, Post Office, Gorkha – Member
(j) Executive Director – Member – Secretary

(3) The term of office of the Chairman and nominated members shall be four years and they may be re-nominated.
(4) If the Government of Nepal deems it necessary, it may publish a notice in the Nepal Gazette and make necessary additions, reductions or changes in the members of the committee.
(5) The committee may invite other indigenous or foreign persons to participate as observers in the meeting of the committee as required.
