: (1) Honorary Professor membership of Pragya Pratishthan may be granted by the Council to a local or foreign person who has made a special contribution to the development of language, literature, culture, philosophy and sociology, and who will increase the pride of Nepal in the national and international arena.
(2) The Assembly may grant lifetime membership of Pragya Pratishthan to Nepali citizens who have made special contributions in the fields of language, literature, culture, philosophy and social sciences.
(3) According to sub-sections (1) and (2), the basis for granting honorary academic membership and life membership shall be as prescribed.
(4) Pragya Pratishthan may provide facilities as prescribed to life members. But the life members who are receiving any remuneration or benefits from Nepal government will not get such benefits.
(5) The Assembly may remove honorary academic members and life members from membership under specified conditions.
