(1) If any goods seized in connection with an offense punishable under this Act appear to be liable to rust or any other deterioration or damage due to prolonged detention or decay or depreciate in old value or neglect. If there is, or if it cannot be handled or stored due to lack of space, such goods can be auctioned after completing the procedure according to the prevailing law.
(2) According to sub-section (1), the amount received from the auction sale shall be deposited in the guarantee account. If such goods are decided to be given to the respective owner, only the amount received from the auction sale will be refunded.
