Section 692
The provisions of this section shall apply:

(1) The provisions of this part shall apply to any matter related to private legal relations involving foreigners, foreign goods or work done abroad.
(2) Without prejudice to the generality of sub-section (1), the provisions of this sub-section shall apply in particular to the following matters:-
(a) The legal status of the alien and his competence,
(b) Matrimonial relationship, paternal and matrilineal and other family relationships or parts where at least one of the related parties is a foreigner, matters related to adoption or work related to it, matters where the action is outside Nepal,
(c) at least one of the interested parties is a foreigner and matters relating to his property abroad,
(d) Matters relating to contractual, non-contractual rights or obligations where at least one party is a foreigner,
(e) Matters related to contracts concluded abroad. Explanation: For the purposes of this section, "foreigner" means a foreign natural person or an organized body, the term also refers to a foreign country.
