(1) If the owner or manager of a vehicle with a license to operate a transport service is unable to operate the transport service, he shall submit an application to the department in the format as per schedule-50 for approval to suspend the transport service along with the reason thereof.
(2) In relation to the application received under sub-rule (1), if the department deems it appropriate to suspend the license to operate the transport service after carrying out the necessary investigation, it will grant the permission to suspend the operation of the transport service in accordance with schedule-51.
(3) In accordance with sub-rule (2), the permit for suspending the transport service shall also be mentioned in the transport service registered book as per Schedule-48.
(4) Within the period mentioned in the permit to operate the transport service which has been suspended as per sub-rule (2), the owner or manager of the vehicle concerned may apply to the department in the format as per Schedule-52 by attaching the documents mentioned in rule 45 for permission to resume the transport service which has been suspended.< br> (5) In relation to the application received for the re-operation of the transport service as per sub-rule (4), if the department deems appropriate to re-operate such transport service after carrying out the necessary investigation, the same shall be recorded in the transport service registered book as per Schedule-48 subject to the Act and other provisions mentioned in this regulation. Permit for re-operation of transport services will be given in accordance with schedule-53.
