Rule 30A
Registry inquiries and compensation

(1) If the addressee cannot receive the registry within the time limit, the sender can apply for a search warrant within 6 months from the date of registration in the case of the registry sent within Nepal and within one year in the case of the registry sent abroad by affixing a stamp of inquiry at the post office where the registry was registered or at the Kshatriya Postal Directorate. .
(2) If the application is received within the deadline as per sub-rule (1), the concerned post office will inquire through the same route as the said registry is an internal registry. If there is a foreign registry, the Universal Postal Union convention will be asked by filling out the appropriate inquiry form.
(3) If the registry is found to be lost, up to 300 rupees in case of internal registry of each registry and in case of foreign registry, the amount specified by the convention of Universal Postal Union will be given to the sender. But if the sender wants to give such compensation number to the addressee, it will be given to the addressee.
(4) If the lost registry is received in any way after receiving the compensation, the addressee and the sender will be notified to get the registry in the condition in which it was received. If the addressee or the sender comes to take back the registry, he will have to return the amount taken as compensation.
