(1) The color of the outer page of the passport to be issued in accordance with Sections 5, 17, 18 and 19 of the Act shall be as follows:-
(a) Diplomatic Passports Cymric Red, (b) Special Passports Sky Blue, (c) Service Passports Orange,
(d) Ordinary passport chocolate brown color, (e) Travel permit black color, (f). Siemens Record Book (Siemens Passport) Slate Brown, (C. Temporary Passport Chocolate Brown.
(2) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-rule (1), the issuance and use of color passports prior to the commencement of these regulations shall not be hindered until the department uses machine redevel or other technology passports or until new passports are printed and used after the commencement of these regulations.
(3) The size and format of passport, travel permit, Siemens record book (Siemens Passport) and temporary passport shall be as per Schedule 6 based on the prevailing standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization.
(4) The outer page of the passport will contain the identification details of the type of passport and the seal of the Government of Nepal.
