(1) A Nepali citizen who wants to get a passport must submit three copies of the Nepali citizenship certificate along with a copy of it to the department, mission or district administration office as per Schedule-1 in the format as per Schedule-2.< /p>

(2) In the application given according to sub-rule (1), four copies as specified in Schedule-3 and the receipt as per Schedule-4 should be attached. If a minor child who has not reached the age of majority needs to get a passport, his/her father, mother or guardian must submit an application in accordance with sub-rule (1) along with a minor identity card with a recently taken photo and a copy of the same and a document revealing the guardianship. When applying in this way, the citizenship certificate of the minor's father, mother or guardian should be attached.
