(1) A national servant or a person about to become a national servant, for doing or not doing or not doing any work related to his position or the same, or for doing any work related to his position or for the purpose of slandering or harming any person or doing or not doing or not doing it Or in case of receiving or agreeing to take bribes on behalf of someone else, the following bribe takers or those who agree to receive bribes will be imprisoned as follows and fined as follows according to the amount of the crime. If the bribe has been taken, the bribe will also be confiscated: (a) Imprisonment up to three months up to twenty five thousand rupees
(b) Imprisonment for three months to four months in excess of twenty-five thousand rupees up to fifty thousand rupees,
(c) Imprisonment from four months to six months for a term exceeding fifty thousand rupees up to one lakh rupees,
(d) Imprisonment for six months to one year and six months for a sum exceeding one lakh rupees to five lakh rupees,
(e) Imprisonment for one year and six months to two years and six months in excess of five lakh rupees to ten lakh rupees,
(f) Imprisonment for two years six months to four years exceeding ten lakh rupees up to twenty five lakh rupees,
(g) Imprisonment for four years to six years exceeding twenty five lakh rupees up to fifty lakh rupees (h) Imprisonment for six years to eight years in excess of fifty lakh rupees up to one crore rupees
(i) Imprisonment for eight to ten years regardless of the amount exceeding one crore rupees.
(2) A person other than a national servant, for the purpose of persuading a national servant to do or not to do any work of his position or status, or to persuade him to do or not to do any work of that position or status, or for the purpose of persuading or persuading him to do or not to do any work of that position or status. If a person takes or agrees to take any gratuity for his or someone else's behalf, for the purpose of persuading him to do or not to do it, he shall be punished as per sub-section (1), and if the gratuity has already been taken, that gratuity shall also be confiscated.
(3) any national servant or any other person to do any work under sub-section (1) or (2),Whether to do it or not, if he is encouraged not to do it, he will be punished according to sub-section (1) according to the amount of the offence.
(4) A person who incites to commit an offense punishable under this section, irrespective of whether or not he is guilty of such incitement, shall be punished according to the amount of the offence, if he is a national servant, and if he is a public servant, he shall be punished for half of that offence.
