: (1) If the relevant importer does not return the animals, animal products or animal products kept in the quarantine place within the specified period, the quarantine officer can confiscate such animals, animal products or animal products and auction them. The conditions and procedures for auctioning will be as prescribed.
(2) If the animals, animal products or animal products seized according to sub-section (1) are not suitable for auctioning or if no one is able to auction them, the quarantine officer may order the removal or destruction of such animals, animal products or animal products.
