Section 700
When a foreigner gets married in Nepal, he must follow the laws of his country:

(1) When foreigners or foreigners and Nepalese citizens get married in Nepal, every person who gets married must comply with the competence, qualifications and conditions prescribed according to the laws of the country of his/her citizenship.
(2) When a foreigner gets married in Nepal, the formalities to be completed will be in accordance with Nepalese law. (3) Marriages contrary to subsections (1) and (2) shall not be recognized in Nepal.
