Rule 20A
To be issued as an electronic ID card
According to rule 20, the driver's license should be issued as an electronic ID card (electronic smart card). However, until the necessary infrastructure is arranged for issuing the driver's license as an electronic identity card (electronic smart card), the driver's license as specified by the Government of Nepal will be issued.
