(1) The Department may update the database on the following basis:-
(a) Personal incidents registered in accordance with this Act and prevailing laws, (b) Information received from the relevant office or agency as specified.
(2) For the purposes of sub-section (1), in the case of a district where an identity card has been implemented in accordance with section 3, the details of such a person in the database will be automatically updated based on the registration of an individual incident.
(3) In the case of districts where the ID card is not applicable, the details of personal incidents registered and maintained will be recorded electronically and such records will be linked to the database and the details will be updated.
(4) While updating the details in the database, the details of the person whose details are to be updated shall be updated on the basis of the identity number of the person.
(5) If there is any doubt regarding the details registered by a person, the details in the electronic database shall be considered as the main basis.
