(1) The Government of Nepal may immediately suspend mineral operations and cancel the permit for mineral operations if deemed necessary for national security or public interest.
(2) In accordance with sub-section (1), the Government of Nepal shall provide reasonable compensation for the direct damage caused to the person who has received the permit when canceling the permit to carry out mineral operations.
