(1) If a foreign woman who has a marriage relationship with a Nepali citizen wants to obtain Nepalese citizenship, she should attach the following documents and submit an application to the relevant chief district officer in the format as per schedule-7 (a) The recommendation made by the concerned local body to open the marriage relationship with a Nepali citizen,
(b) He has taken action to renounce his foreign citizenship.
(2) Upon investigation of the application received in accordance with sub-rule (1), if the applicant is found eligible to receive a certificate of recognized Nepali citizenship, a certificate of recognized Nepali citizenship may be issued to him.
