1 Apart from the district hunting license, the license according to rules 10, 11 and 12 can be issued by the chief or any officer designated by the Government of Nepal for that purpose. 2. The person applying for any kind of hunting license will be given a license only if he has a hand weapon used to kill wild animals or birds that he wants to hunt, according to the prevailing law of Nepal. 3 The head of the quota will determine the annual quota of wild animals that can be killed in the hunting reserve in a given year, and hunting licenses will be issued only if the quota is not exceeded. 4 Notwithstanding anything written in sub-rules 1, 2 and 3, the Government of Nepal may reduce the number of wild animals or birds allowed to be hunted in any district, hunting reserve or any other area or suspend the granting of such permits if necessary for the proper protection of any wild animals and birds.
