Section 107A
Punishment
If a person, knowing that he does not have a deposit in the bank or if the deposit is insufficient, cuts a check and hands it over to someone, and when the check so handed is presented to the concerned bank for payment, if the check is dishonored by the bank due to insufficient deposit, the amount mentioned in the check from the person who cut the check. And the person who cuts the check by paying interest to the bearer will be punished with imprisonment up to three months or a fine up to three thousand rupees or both.
