: Whoever commits the following offense will be punished as follows;
(a) In addition to the punishment according to the prevailing law, the person who commits an offense under Clause (a) or (b) of Subsection (3) of Section 3 and Subsection (4) shall be given an additional penalty of fifty percent, but the offender who is sentenced to life imprisonment or more shall be punished additionally. (b) If there is no provision of punishment in the prevailing law for the offender under sub-section (4) of section 3, imprisonment up to five years or fine up to five lakh rupees or both,
(c) Whoever commits an offense under section 5 shall be punished with imprisonment for up to five years and a fine of up to fifty thousand rupees. (d) Whoever commits an offense under Section 6 shall be liable to imprisonment for a term up to three years and a fine of up to two lakh rupees. (e) Whoever commits an offense under Section 7 shall be punished as follows:-
(1) If a person dies as a result of such an offence, the main person who commits, causes or conspires to commit such an offense and the person who incites to commit such an offense shall be imprisoned for life,
(2) If such an offense has been committed but no one has been killed, the main person who commits, causes or conspires to commit such an offense and the person who incites to commit such an offense shall be imprisoned for life,
(3) Committing or encouraging the offense of subversive act or forcing to commit such offense or gathering more than one person or forming a group to cause such act to be committed or colluding to cause such act to be committed or participating in any manner in such act or doing such act A person who intentionally produces or distributes or keeps weapons, bombs, explosives or poisonous substances, or who transports or imports or exports or allows them to be taken or propagates in any way, shall be imprisoned for three to ten years depending on the amount of the crime,
(4) The punishment for the offense of subversive act shall be half of the punishment for the person who commits the crime.
(f) A person who commits an offense under Section 8 shall be punished as follows:
(1) Imprisonment for up to seven years and a fine of up to seventy thousand rupees if he shows fear or apprehension of killing, harming or causing serious injury to someone with the intention of obtaining criminal benefit,
(2) Illegality in one's businessIf he has taken criminal advantage by showing fear, terror with the intention of causing any damage or falsely accusing his character, imprisonment up to four years and a fine of up to forty thousand rupees,
(3) Imprisonment for up to one year and fine up to ten thousand rupees for taking criminal benefit in cases other than those mentioned in sub-section (1) or (2).
