The functions, duties and powers of the Board of Directors shall be as follows:
(a) Formulating policies and plans related to the development of the greater Janakpur area and approving various programs. c) To organize and conduct meetings, conferences, seminars or exhibitions at the national and international level to show the importance of the greater Janakpur area.
(d) Taking into account the importance, recognition and sensitivity of any particular place within the greater Janakpur area, prohibiting and controlling activities that should not be done in such places.
(e) Establishing coordination between the agencies that conduct the development and construction works conducted by the government, non-government and private sectors in the greater Janakpur area.
(f) Approving the staff positions of the Council.
(g) To give instructions as needed regarding the work done by the committee

(h) To monitor and evaluate the work done by the committee.
(h) To perform other functions required to fulfill the objectives of the Council in accordance with this Act.
