The functions, duties and powers of the Board of Directors shall be as follows:-
(a) Formulate the long-term policy and plan of the orphanage and submit it to the Ministry through the Social Welfare Officer for approval.
(b) Prepare and approve an annual program in accordance with the approved policy and plan and search for necessary resources for its operation and mobilize the resources obtained.
(c) To make appropriate arrangements for lodging, sleeping, feeding and other facilities for the elderly and helpless relatives in the orphanage.
(d) Arranging entertainment and cultural programs and other extracurricular activities for the physical and intellectual development of elderly or helpless orphans.
(e) To review and evaluate the work progress of the home.
(f) Arranging for regular health check-ups and medication for the elderly or indigent dependents.
(g) To comply with the suggestions and instructions given by the ministry or the social welfare officer regarding the operation of the orphanage.
