(1) Trees shall be planted on the right and left sides of the public road according to the requirements of the "road department, relevant state government, rural municipality or municipality".
(2) The duty of maintaining and protecting the trees planted in accordance with sub-section (1) shall belong to the respective rural municipality or municipality.
(3) The road department shall be responsible for pruning the trees planted in accordance with sub-section (1) or removing them if such trees obstruct traffic.
(4) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-sections (1), (2), and (3), the "road department, concerned provincial government, rural municipality or municipality" may carry out the works mentioned in those sub-sections by any other person or organization as prescribed.
