4. Functions, Duties and Powers of the Committee:

The functions, duties and powers of the Committee shall be as follows:-

(a) Natural, social, cultural for the development of tourism in Lumbini region. and to determine the policy necessary to protect and promote environmental aspects and biological diversity.

(b) To identify potential tourist sites in the Lumbini area and to prepare and implement various plans and programs for tourism development,
(c) Collecting details of cultural and natural heritage of Lumbini area,
(d) Conducting necessary studies and researches regarding the development of tourism in Lumbini region (e) By sustainably developing and expanding the tourism business in the Lumbini region, identifying the Lumbini region as an attractive and reliable tourist destination at home and abroad,
(f) To diversify and develop tourism activities such as health, wildlife, agriculture, sports, recreational and cultural tourism in the Lumbini area,
(g) conducting or conducting various programs to increase the interest of tourists in the art and culture of Lumbini region,
(h) Giving preference to youth, women, tribals, tribals, dalits and backward classes to participate in tourism-related employment training and skill development programs,
(i) Reducing rural poverty through community-based tourism development (j) To make tourist services accessible and quality by using modern information technology and equipment (k) To construct or operate accommodation houses, chamena houses etc. that introduce the art, culture and lifestyle of the Lumbini region,
(l) To adopt necessary measures to minimize the impact on the cultural, environmental beauty and biological diversity of the Lumbini region while conducting tourism related activities,
(d) To prepare and implement necessary plans to prevent pollution in lakes, ponds, rivers, streams, etc. within Lumbini area,
(d) In Lumbini region, in other regions of the countryTo develop domestic tourism by encouraging the visit of tourists,
(n) To identify potential hiking areas in Lumbini area and prepare hiking infrastructure for domestic and foreign tourists,
(p) To coordinate or arrange for necessary coordination between government and non-government organizations for the development of tourism in Lumbini region (th) To do or cause other work to fulfill the purpose of the committee.
