4. Work, Duties and Powers of the Committee:

The work, duties and powers of the Committee shall be as follows:-

(a) Natural, social, cultural and environmental aspects and biological aspects for tourism development of Videh-Mithila region. Determining the necessary policies to protect and promote diversity,
(b) To identify potential tourist spots in Videh-Mithila region and prepare and implement various plans and programs for tourism development,
(c) Collecting details of cultural and natural heritage of Videh-Mithila region (d) Conducting necessary studies and researches regarding tourism development of Videh-Mithila region (e) To identify Videh-Mithila region as an attractive and reliable tourist destination at home and abroad by sustainably developing and expanding the tourism business in Videh-Mithila region,
(f) To diversify and develop tourism activities such as health, wildlife, agriculture, sports, recreational and cultural tourism in Videh-Mithila region,
(g) Conducting or conducting various programs to increase the interest of tourists in the art and culture of Videh-Mithila region,
(h) Giving preference to the participation of youth, women, tribals, tribals, dalits and backward classes in tourism-related employment training and skill development programs,
(i) Reducing rural poverty through community-based tourism development (j) To make tourist services accessible and quality by using modern information technology and equipment (k) Constructing or operating accommodation houses, chamena houses etc. that introduce the art, culture and lifestyle of the Videh-Mithila region,
(l) To adopt necessary measures to minimize the impact on the cultural, environmental beauty and biological diversity of the Videh-Mithila region while conducting tourism-related activities,
(d) To prepare and implement necessary plans to prevent pollution in lakes, ponds, rivers, streams etc. within the Videh-Mithila area,
(d) Videh-Mithila KshaTo develop internal tourism by encouraging the visit of citizens from other regions of the country (n) Identify potential hiking areas in the Videh-Mithila region and prepare hiking infrastructure for domestic and foreign tourists,
(p) To coordinate or arrange for necessary coordination between government and non-government organizations for tourism development of Videh-Mithila region,
(th) To do or cause other work to fulfill the purpose of the committee.
