Section 17
Punishment for damage to public property
If a national servant, while performing his position or related duties, negligently or maliciously embezzles, damages or misappropriates the property of Nepal government or public institution, causes it to be stolen or uses it for private use, he shall be punished according to the amount of the offense according to section 3. and the property that has been embezzled, damaged or misused or stolen or allowed to be stolen will also be recovered from him.
