(1) The Government of Nepal will establish a viability gap fund for the construction, operation and expansion of projects that will give positive returns in the long term and are important from the point of view of infrastructure structure, but cannot give immediate returns financially.
(2) From the fund under sub-section (1) based on the criteria as specified, the required amount of capital and operating grant or loan can be provided for the project as specified on the recommendation of the board.
(3) The Government of Nepal may allocate necessary funds from time to time to the fund under sub-section (1).
(4) Other arrangements related to the operation and management of the fund under sub-section (1) shall be as prescribed.
