(1) If the vehicle owner wants to change the color, number of seats, design, engine or chassis of the vehicle in accordance with section 39 of the Act, he shall submit an application to the office where such vehicle is registered for approval in accordance with schedule-14.
(2) If an application is made in accordance with sub-rule (1), the office shall carry out the necessary examination by the relevant technician and if deemed appropriate to change the color, number of seats, design, engine or chassis of the vehicle according to the request of the applicant, the color of the vehicle shall be subject to the Act and other provisions mentioned in this regulation.
