Rule 14
<br> which cooperative societies can register
If the following cooperative organizations registered and operating in accordance with the prevailing law wish to register an industry in accordance with sub-section (5) of Section 17 of the Act, they may register the industry subject to the Act and this regulation and the regulations of such organization:-
(a) Producer Co-operative Society or Association, (b) Consumer Co-operative Society or Association, (c) Labor Co-operative Society or Association, or (d) Multi-purpose Co-operative Society or Association.
(2) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-rule (1), a financial cooperative organization or association dealing in savings and credit transactions shall not be allowed to register an industry.
(3) According to sub-rule (1), a cooperative organization wishing to register an industry shall submit an application to the industry registration body in the format as per schedule-1 with the following documents attached:-
(a) Copy of the Regulations of the Co-operative Societies,
(b) Certified copy of the decision taken by the General Assembly regarding the operation of the industry,
(c) If a representative has been appointed to make the application, the letter of authority thereof,
(d): Recommendation of the local level where the industry will be established,
(e) Audit report of the cooperative society up to the previous financial year,
(f) Statement of share members including share price.
