Rule 14
Duties, Duties and Rights of the Co-Prosecutor
The duties, duties and powers of the Co-Prosecutor of the Appeal Public Prosecutor's Office shall be as follows:-
(a) To file indictments, appeals, and petitions on behalf of the Government of Nepal in the Court of Appeals or any other court located within its territorial jurisdiction, and to appear and plead the arguments,
(b) In cases in which the Government of Nepal is the plaintiff, the authorized officer shall conduct investigation and investigation and decide whether or not to prosecute the case as delegated by the Attorney General in the case of missiles that have come for necessary action.
(c) To file appeals and petitions on behalf of the Government of Nepal or the employees of the Government of Nepal in cases involving the Government of Nepal in the Court of Appeal and any other court within their territorial jurisdiction, and attend and plead the case, (d) If appointed by the Attorney General, to appear in a court outside his territorial jurisdiction and act as a lawyer, etc.
(e) To give an opinion on any legal question asked by any regional or zonal government office or the head of that office or any other departmental head in the area within his/her territorial jurisdiction,
(E1) If there is a complaint that a person in custody is not treated humanely or that such person is not allowed to meet with relatives or through a legal practitioner, or if any information about the matter comes to light by any means or means, conduct necessary investigation and give necessary instructions to the relevant authorities to prevent such a thing from happening,
(E2) To submit a quarterly report to the Attorney General on matters investigated and instructed in accordance with Clause (E1),
(f) According to this regulation, the co-prosecutor may delegate all or some of the administrative powers vested in him to be exercised by any other officer under him.
