Section 6C
Not to obstruct public service or road or vandalize any house or vehicle
:
(1) No one shall cause the following to be done:-
(a) To obstruct the smooth operation of the public road designated by the Government of Nepal by publishing a notice in the Nepal Gazette, or in any other way, to obstruct the smooth operation of such road,
(b) to cause damage by vandalizing, arson or looting any government, public or private vehicle, house or property or to forcefully enter such vehicle or real estate or take possession of such vehicle, house or property, and
(c) To obstruct government and public bodies and educational institutions by doing any act like locking.
(2) If someone commits any act as per sub-section (1), the Chief District Officer may, depending on the nature of the offence, punish such person with a fine up to ten thousand rupees or imprisonment for a term up to six months or both and recover from him the amount of the damage caused by him and may also fine him accordingly. br> (3) The Chief District Officer shall adopt the procedure as per the Summary Procedure Act, 2028 when taking action under this section.
(4) A person who is not satisfied with the punishment given by the chief district officer according to sub-section (2) may appeal to the district court within thirty-five days.
