(1) In an establishment employing twenty or more workers, the employer shall form a safety and health committee as specified in such a way that the workers are also represented.
(2) For the purpose of sub-section (1), labor employed through labor suppliers shall also be counted.
(3) The work, duties and rights of the safety and health committee formed according to sub-section (1) shall be as follows:-
(a) To provide regular advice to the employer regarding safety and health measures to be taken at the workplace and to make such arrangements effective,
(b) To evaluate the safety and health arrangements made in the workplace and to draw the attention of employers to make such arrangements more effective,
(c) In case of failure to act while attracting attention as per Clause (b), inform the office thereof,
(d) To review every year the safety and health policy made in accordance with section 68,
(e) To perform other tasks as specified.
