Rule 12
Application for correction of information

(1) A person who wishes to correct such information in accordance with Section 28 of the Act because any information related to him/her under the charge, protection or control of a public body is incorrect or not based on facts shall submit an application to the relevant public body in the format as per Schedule-3.
(2) Along with the application according to sub-rule (1), the evidence confirming or verifying the facts or details claimed by him according to sub-section (2) of the repealed section of the Act must also be attached.
(3) If an application is received in accordance with sub-rule (1), the head of the relevant public body shall carry out the necessary investigation regarding whether or not the applicant received any benefits, advantages or facilities based on such information and whether the information related to the applicant is false or based on facts based on the facts or evidence submitted. will fall
