(1) Where a councilor elected under clause (e) of sub-section (1) of section 4 has become vacant due to the death of a councilor or the resignation of a councilor or the fact that a councilor is unfit to continue as a legal practitioner in accordance with the provisions of the Act, the remaining term of office of such councilor is more than one year. In case of low cost, the council will appoint another legal practitioner of the related area as the councilor and if it is more than one year, the position will be filled by election.
(2) For the remainder of the term of office of a councilor nominated under clause (f) of sub-section (1) of section 4, where a councilor has died or a councilor has resigned or a councilor is unfit to continue as a legal practitioner in accordance with the provisions of this Act. Nepal Bar Association will nominate another legal practitioner as councillor.
