1) If deemed necessary and appropriate for the public interest, His Majesty's Government may, by an order published in the Nepal Gazette, prohibit a strike in any essential service specified in the same order.
(2) Every order passed under sub-section (1) shall remain in force for six months (3) After the Government of Nepal issues any order under sub-section (1)-
(1) No person employed in any essential service specified in that order shall be allowed to participate in strike action or to refrain from participating.
(2) Any strike done by the persons employed in such service before or after the issuance of such order or declared strike shall be considered illegal.
