Section 624
Deemed to be a Hire Purchase Agreement:

(1) A hire purchase agreement shall be deemed to be a hire purchase agreement by someone on hire of any thing to any person under the following conditions:-
(a) The lessee shall have the right of usufruct in the thing leased by the owner of the thing by making periodical installment payments to a person,
(b) The lessee can purchase the leased item according to the terms of the contract,
(c) Ownership of such goods shall be transferred to the lessee after payment of the final installment amount,
(d) The lessee may terminate the contract at any time prior to the transfer of ownership in accordance with clause (c).
(2) The agreement under subsection (1) must be in writing.
(3) A copy of the agreement made according to this section shall be provided by the owner of the goods to the lessee free of charge upon completion of the agreement.
(4) "Goods" means any movable property capable of being rented out for enjoyment.
(5) "Lessee" shall mean a person who receives an object on rent for use in accordance with a hire purchase agreement and the term also refers to his rightful owner or any other third person who receives such object in accordance with the agreement in case of his death.
