Rule 17
Maximum extent of land to be distributed and applied for at present
(1) According to sub-section (2) of section 16 of the Act, when someone applies before the committee for approval to claim land, if there is no land in the name of the land owner or the owner of the land in the name of him or his family, or even if there is land, four bighas in the Terai region including inner Madhesh, If the land is less than 10 ropani in Kathmandu valley or less than 20 ropani if in other areas, he will be allowed to give an application and when giving such an application, he will have to give the format as per schedule-3.
(2) According to sub-rule (1), if there is no land in the name of the person making the application or his family as a land owner or owner, the committee shall not exceed four bighas if in Terai region including inner Madhesh, ten ropani if in Kathmandu valley and 20 ropani if in other areas. can give approval to do.
(3) According to sub-rule (1) in the name of the applicant or his/her family, as a land owner or Mohi, if the land committee has less than four bighas in the terai region including inner Madhesh, ten plants if in Kathmandu valley or less than twenty plants if in other areas, such investment shall not exceed the above-mentioned bighas or plants. Only up to the land can be given permission to use.
(4) The extent specified in sub-rule (1), (2) or (3) shall not apply to any educational institution, village development committee or municipality or any other social organization. (5) For the purpose of this paragraph, "family" means husband, wife, minor son and unmarried daughter whether separated or not.
