Section 42A of the Act to operate Postal Savings Bank. Accordingly, the Government of Nepal may publish a notice in the Nepal Gazette from time to time and designate the post office.

3a. Postal Savings Bank Advisory Committee (1) There will be a Postal Savings Bank Advisory Committee to assist and advise the Postal Service Department in effectively operating the Postal Savings Bank.
(2) The committee shall consist of the following chairman and members:-
(a) Secretary, Ministry of Information and Communication or an officer designated by him - Chairman
(b) Director General, Department of Postal Services – Member
(c) Representative, Ministry of Finance – Member
(d) Representative, Nepal Rastra Bank – Member (e) Head of Office, Check Office – Member – Secretary 3b. Work of the Committee: The work of the committee will be as follows –
(a) To provide necessary advice to the Department of Postal Services for the operation of the bank (b) To study and review the operations of the Bank and make recommendations to the Postal Service Office, and
(c) To do other work as mentioned in this rule.

3c. Meeting of the committee: (1) The meeting of the committee will be held at least twice a year.
(2) The meeting of the committee will be held on the date, time and place determined by the chairman.

(3) The chairman will preside over the meeting of the committee.
(4) Other procedures related to the meeting of the committee shall be as determined by the committee itself.
