Rule 31
Non-acceptance of liability by the Postal Service Department
No action shall be taken in the following cases:-
(1) If no inquiry (inquiry) is made within six months in respect of internal registry postal items and within one year in case of registry postal items sent abroad, or
(2) In case of damage or loss due to the negligence or fault of the sender, or in case of sending registered items prohibited for circulation by post, or
(3) If the items kept in the registry are loose, perishable or particularly breakable items, or
(4) No liability shall be borne in respect of registry items sent abroad in the following cases:-
(a) items prohibited from delivery by law in the country of the addressee, or
(b) if delivery is made within the inquiry period in accordance with the postal rules of the country of address, or
(e) In the event of loss or damage or non-delivery due to circumstances beyond our control.
