Rule 3
1 Code of Professional Conduct
: (1) For the purposes of Section 9 Clause (e) and Clause (c) of Sub-section (1) of Section 18 of the Act, the Code of Professional Conduct to be followed by a registered pharmacy practitioner while conducting pharmacy business shall be as follows -
(a) No person should be discriminated against on the basis of religion, race, gender and social caste or any other matter while using professional knowledge and skills.
(b) He should only work within the field related to the subject he has studied or the knowledge and skills he has acquired.
(c) In addition to the remuneration, allowances and other benefits received for the service, the promotion of pharmacy services should not be done in order to get any kind of unfair financial advantage or to cause any unfair activity to harm the pharmacy business.
(d) Every work related to the pharmacy business to be done by him shall be done in such a way as to take personal responsibility.
(e) Every registered pharmacy practitioner shall have his name registered.
(2) Apart from what is written in sub-rule (1), the professional code of conduct to be followed by the pharmacy practitioner shall be as prescribed by the Council from time to time.
(3) It shall be the duty and responsibility of all concerned to ensure compliance with the professional code of conduct.
