Rule 6
2 Grant distribution to related educational institutions
: (1) Educational institutions that request grant funds and teach undergraduate and postgraduate studies must submit full details to the commission in the format prescribed by the commission at least four months before the beginning of the financial year.
(2) The Commission will evaluate and classify the concerned campuses based on the following: (a) Physical condition of the campus.
(b) Financial situation of the campus. For this purpose it will be necessary to attach the audit report.
(c) Fields of study in the campus.
(d) Number of teachers and staff, details with qualification and teaching load.
(e) Number of students at graduation and higher level, student passing percentage.
(f) Progress Status of the Campus.
(g) Status of grants given by the commission.
(h) Academic research articles, reports and other publications (i) Other grounds deemed appropriate by the Commission.
(3) The commission will determine the lump sum grant to the affiliated campus on the basis of "one faculty one program" considering the conditions mentioned in sub-rule (2). The Commission may provide additional subsidy based on the criteria deemed appropriate.
(4) The Commission may grant grants for special purposes. In this way, the grant made for special purposes should be spent only for that purpose.
(5) Regardless of what is written in this rule, if the Government of Nepal has taken a special policy in relation to Dalits, oppressed tribes and women, grants can be distributed on that basis as well.
(6) Grants may be stopped for campuses that pass less than the percentage of students determined by the Commission for three consecutive years.
(7) The report received after inspection by the commission will also be taken into account in determining the grant.
(8) It shall be mandatory for the educational institution receiving the grant to submit the annual statement along with the audit report to the Commission within 6 months after the end of the financial year.
