(1) If the investigating officer finds any property or instrument during the search of the property or instrument according to rule 3, he shall ascertain whether such property or instrument is criminal property or instrument or not. (2) Pursuant to sub-rule (1), the investigating officer may take the following grounds while ascertaining whether any property or instrument is criminal property or instrument or not:-
(a) If the government agency or any other agency keeps a record of such property or instrument, such record,
(b) the basis and source of acquisition of such property or means,
(c) the circumstances under which such property or instrument is acquired,
(d) Other grounds deemed necessary by the investigating officer.
