: In this Act, unless the subject or the context requires otherwise,–
(a) “hospital” means a hospital as defined in section 15.
(b) “Hospital Management Committee” shall mean the Hospital Management Committee constituted under section 16.
(c) “Vice-Chancellor” means the Vice-Chancellor as referred to in section 19.
(d) “Executive Council” means the Executive Council constituted under section 11.
(e) “Chancellor” means the Chancellor as defined in section 17.
(f) “Dean” means the Dean under section 22.
(g) “Prescribed” or “as prescribed” means prescribed or prescribed in the rules made under this Act.
(h) “Director” means the Director referred to in section 23.
(i) “Establishment” shall mean the Rapti Institute of Health Sciences established under section 3.
(j) "Academic Council" means the Academic Council constituted under section 9.
(k) "Ministry" means the Ministry of the Government of Nepal dealing with health related matters.
(l) "Registrar" means the Registrar under section 21.
(d) "Teacher" means a person appointed to teach and conduct research in the institution.
(d) "Principal" shall mean the Principal as per Section 20.
(n) "Educational institution" means an educational institution established under section 14.
(h) "Assembly" means the Assembly constituted under section 7.
(h) “Vice-Chancellor” means the Vice-Chancellor as referred to in section 18.
